Privacy
When making purchases at westerntool.com or any other web site, it requires trust, and confidence
that information is secure. We appreciate and value your trust and are committed to our customers
to protect the security and privacy of any personal information you have provided to us. This includes
your name, address, phone numbers, e-mail address, and credit card information.
At westerntool.com, you have our pledge that we do not and will not sell, rent, or otherwise release
any personal information to anyone. The information that you have allowed us to use is for the
purpose of our own internal use and is intended to help us serve you better.
Our Commitment to Data Security
Our Checkout pages are Verisign Secured, to ensure your information is protected to the fullest.
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information,
we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and
secure the information we collect online.
When a customer places an order, the information is scrambled with a unique key. Only the receiving
party has the unique key to “see” the information. It is virtually impossible for an unauthorized party
to find the right key, even if they are equipped with the best computers. This encryption is performed
with SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), a set of rules followed by computers connected to the Internet.
These rules including the encryption guards against eavesdropping, data integrity and assures that
your communications aren’t tampered with during transmission and authentication. It verifies that the
party actually receiving your communication is whom it claims to be. Western Tool Supply recommends that users of the web site ensure they subscribe to the services of a browser service which provides security encryption for the Transmitted Information.
How Do I Use The Site?
Please see our Using This Site section for a full explanation.
If something isn't in stock, how does it work?
If we are temporarily out of stock on an item you have ordered, it will be back ordered on our computer system until the item becomes available or you tell us to cancel it. Your credit card will not be charged until the item comes in. Some items may have limited quantities available. If you order an item, which is no longer avaialable your order will be held and you will be contacted. If an item is no longer activly stocked and must be special ordered possibly at a higher price, you will be contacted and given the option of continuing the order or cancelling.
How long will my backorders take?
There is no set time period on back orders, but we try to keep the wait as short as possible. We try to fill orders from stock at our other locations if necessary, but there are times when we are waiting for shipments from our suppliers.
If my order is late or lost what do I do?
Contact us. Every parcel is assigned a traceable number by UPS, which we call in to their computer. If the parcel is considered lost we can replace it. We make sure you get the items you've paid for.
What if my order arrives damaged?
If the parcel is damaged on the outside and your concerned about missing or damaged items, do not sign for it and then call us immediately. If the parcel was fine on the outside, but when you opened it something was damaged or missing, contact us. We make sure you get the items you've paid for. Note: Truck shipments are handled differently, please contact us for details.
